PRIVACY POLICY

Effective: July 21, 2026 · Applies to the timeduel.app website and the Time Duel iOS app

The short version:

• You can play without an account — then we hold no personal data about you at all.

• An account is optional and needs only an email, a password, and a nickname.

• We show no ads, sell nothing, and track nobody across other apps or sites.

Playing without an account

No personal information is collected. Your results, streaks, and settings are stored only on your own device — in your browser's local storage on the web, or on the phone itself in the iOS app. Clearing your browser data or deleting the app erases them; we never see them.

Optional account

Creating an account (to appear on leaderboards, play ranked duels in the iOS app, or keep progress across devices) stores the following with our infrastructure provider, Google Firebase:

Email address and password — for signing in (passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see them). On iOS you can use Sign in with Apple instead.
Nickname — the name shown on leaderboards. It doesn't have to be your real name.
Game data — daily results, scores, rating, and match history, used to run leaderboards and duels.

The iOS app can also start you as an anonymous guest account (no email) until you choose to register.

Analytics

The website uses Umami, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics tool, to count aggregate usage — page visits and which game mode gets played. It does not identify you, and no personal data is involved.

What we never do

No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
No tracking across other apps or websites.
No marketing emails — the only emails you may receive are account emails you request (such as a password reset).

Where data lives

Account data is processed by Google Firebase (Google LLC) acting as our data processor, on Google's infrastructure. Aggregate website analytics are processed by Umami. We store nothing on servers of our own.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account yourself, inside the product:

Website: Leaderboard tab → Delete account (you'll confirm with your password).
iOS app: Profile → Delete Account.

Deletion permanently removes your sign-in, profile, nickname, and game history. For anything else — or if you'd rather we do it — email nuru.nuriyev@yahoo.com from your account's email address and we'll take care of it within 30 days. Local data on your device you can erase yourself at any time by clearing site data or deleting the app.

Children

Time Duel is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
